So this past weekend we made a road trip down to San Antonio to visit Shamu! I was nervous about traveling with a toddler in a car for five hours, BUT...Jake did so well! He watched his DVDs, played with cars and watch the scenery and did not have one meltdown!! It was great. Seaworld on the other hand, was another story. We went to see Shamu's show first. Bad idea! The loud music and huge whales jumping out of the water sort of freaked him out. He sat through the show as well as can be under the circumstances, but lost it when Shamu decided to splash us all soaking wet! He had it after that and did not want to see any animal in any water for the rest of the day. Thank goodness they had a happy harbour waterpark because that is where we stayed the rest of the day! Oh well! There is always next year to try again.

too funny about shamu! i wouldve never thought about it being scary. im glad you learned that lesson to help the rest of us out :-) the pictures are great- also!
